Shetland is just an hour or so away from Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh on frequent, daily, direct flights operated by Loganair for the Flybe network.

All three airports have good onward connections to London and other major British and European cities, and North American flights via Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Passengers travelling to Shetland from Europe can avoid crowded airports in London by flying direct from Stockholm, Paris or Amsterdam to Aberdeen, for example.

There are also daily air services to Shetland from Inverness and Orkney, year round, while in summer Loganair operates a Bergen-Shetland direct flight once a week.
